At Home Hair Mask That Actually Works...

If you're going through a damaged hair phase, first take a deep breath, we've all been there. Second, don't worry, your hair just needs some extra lovin'. Hair masks are an amazing addition to your haircare routine when it comes to actually treating that damage, moisturizing locks, plus adding shine. Best part about adding in a hair mask? You probably already have the proper ingredients in your kitchen right now.. Instead of breaking the bank and purchasing a hair mask that you end up going through monthly, make your own! I know I know, DIY beauty products aren't always as good as they say, or they just dont turn out the way you thought. Today is your lucky day because we are sharing our absolute FAVORITE at home hair mask that actually works, yes actually.

The Issue:

Damage from styling with blowdryer + straightener, hair dye, dryness, breakage, etc.

Results:

Healthy, shiny, & hydrated strands.

Ingredients:

Avocado (half), olive oil (1 tbsp), honey (1 tbsp). + apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp).

Benefits of Ingredients:

1) Honey contains keratin which is essential. Keratin smooths the cells that overlap to form hair strands, which in result is stronger hair, less frizz, and less breakage. 2) Avocados have natural oils that help seal & moisturize a dry scalp. They have minerals that helps seal the cuticle, and proteins to nourish the hair strands. It's the perfect DIY hair mask ingredient. 3) Olive oil is added for extra shine + softness. It's also a great detangler! 4) Add in a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for antibacterial and dandruff help.

Step #1:

Start by cutting and mashing your halved avocado in a small bowl.

Step #2:

Add in the olive oil & honey. Plus 3-5 drops of Rosemary essential oil to stimulate hair follicles + growth.

Step #3:

For extra benefits add in your apple cider vinegar, dandruff saver!

Step #4:

Stir ingredients together until fully smooth, then apply to damp or wet hair. Once fully lathered, pull hair up into a claw clip. Leave on for 20 minutes +. We even love leaving ours on overnight for extra moisture and silkiness.

Bonus: Use it on your BFB Extensions for extra silkiness
