How To
Best Shampoo & Conditioner to Use on Your Hair Extensions (BFB Hair)
Struggling with thin, fine hair? Or maybe your hair refuses to grow past your shoulders... We get it, and that's why clip-in hair extensions are truly unmatched. Thicker, longer hair is in your future! Your first step is to get extensions that are 100% real human Remy hair, that's key. If we're going to go ahead and take the plunge & buy ourselves a set of extensions, we want it to be good quality and last. Fortunately, all of our extensions are human hair, but you may need to give them a little extra care. A question we get constantly, "What shampoo and conditioner should I use on my hair extensions?" First off, we're glad you're asking, because it truly does matter. Let's get into the nitty gritty!
Does it matter what shampoo & conditioner I use on my extensions?
Yes, it does. Use a clean shampoo + conditioner with natural ingredients. You'll want to stray away from ingredients such as sulfate, parabens, alcohol, etc... Using something other than a clean brand, could end up making extensions look dull, frizzy, & dry.
How to properly wash your extensions:
Here's the good news - washing your clip-in extensions is easy and rarely needs to be done. We recommend every 30+ days or even longer if possible. If you can even go months in between washes, you will be golden & so will those extensions!! Watch our video below to see how to properly wash your extensions. ⬇️⬇️
Our favorite shampoos to use on our extensions:
Dae Shampoo, $26
This is our go-to to use on our extensions! Not only is it full of clean ingredients but it will leave hair feeling cleansed without stripping hair of natural oils. We love Dae!
Aveeno ACV Shampoo, $8.69
If you are anything like us, we rarely wash our extensions.. Honestly, the longer you can go without washing, the better!! When we start to notice excess product buildup or grease in the extensions, that's when we tend to give them a good wash.
Moroccan Oil Shampoo, $26
