Your Perfect Night Hair Care Routine

Your nighttime skincare routine is something we don't skip on around here. Hair too. With all the heat & product you put hair through during the day, it's important to take care of locks at night. And you loved our general Hair Routine Tips, so we thought we had to get down to the nitty gritty with our night routine. We spend a good chunk of time laying down sleeping, so you might as well be doing good for your hair during it. Right?!

Olaplex bonding oil

So you normally put in your hair oil in the morning AFTER styling your hair for the day? Well, that's fine too. But putting in a hair oil at night gives hair the most benefits, you should try it. If you have an oily scalp use only on ends! We love to follow it up with a silk scrunchie.... Keep reading to learn about the importance of silk. Oh, and if you're extra like us you might put on a hair mask + oil combo overnight. For all the extra moisture.

Scalp massaging

Scalp scrubbers have become quite the rage in the past few months. Mainly because we are all learning just how important scalp health is! Use the scalp scrub brush to massage hair oil in, or use in conduction with conditioner while showering. If you are someone struggling with thinning hair as well, incorporate a scalp scrubber into your night routine a few days a week.

Invest in nighttime hair accessories

Don't let this one confuse you. These "accessories" won't actually accessorize or elevate any look.. But, they will benefit your hair immensely! If you don't have a silk pillowcase already, get one, ASAP. The silk helps keep frizz at bay & doesn't suck up unnecessary moisture. A silk scrunchie is another good accessory to get for sleeping or washing your face at night.

Brush hair the right way

We all brush our hair at night, so better to be doing it the right way! And yes, there is a right and wrong way to brush. Learn more about hair brushing techniques here, because you might actually be brushing the wrong way.

And don't forget to hang those extensions on a bfb hanger overnight! ⬇️
